Turkmenistan's gas output edges down to 76.5 Bm3 in 2025

Turkmenistan, Central Asia's largest natural gas producer, produced 76.5 Bm3 of gas in 2025, compared to 77.6 Bm3 a year earlier, local media reported on Saturday, citing government data.
Turkmenistan has the fifth-largest natural gas reserves in the world. The bulk of its gas exports go to China, while other buyers have included Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Oil production amounted to 8.3 MMt in 2025, compared to 8.2 MMtpy earlier, most of which was processed at local refineries.
The country's GDP growth in 2025 remained at the previous year's level of 6.3%.
