One train shut at Australia’s Ichthys LNG plant

One of the two trains at the Ichthys liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Darwin, Australia, has been shut since August 20, operator Inpex Corp. said in an emailed statement on Thursday.
"Train 2 at Ichthys LNG was temporarily halted on the evening of August 20. The impact is currently being evaluated," Inpex said.
This is the plant's second train outage in the past month, after an outage in July.
Ichthys LNG is a joint venture between Inpex, TotalEnergies, and the Australian subsidiaries of CPC Corporation Taiwan, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, JERA and Toho Gas 9533.T.
The plant's processing trains can produce 8.9 metric MMtpy of LNG.
