Energy Workforce responds to U.S. Energy Secretary's testimony on LNG export permit pause

Energy Workforce & Technology Council President Tim Tarpley issued the following statement in response to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s testimony before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight. During the hearing, Representatives discussed the Administration’s ongoing LNG export permit pause, the push towards electric vehicles and energy appliance standards.
"Five months into the Administration's LNG export permit 'pause', Secretary Granholm has yet to provide clear answers to the American people and our allies on the duration of this review or its specific scope," stated Tim Tarpley, President of the Energy Workforce & Technology Council. "This lack of transparency is deeply troubling given current geopolitical tensions and the increasing worldwide demand for reliable energy."
"The energy services sector deserves a definitive timeline and full understanding of the factors being evaluated in this LNG export analysis," Tarpley continued. "Prolonged uncertainty risks undermining investor confidence and jeopardizes projects vital to national energy security. The American people have a right to know when this 'pause' will end."
