Rare Russia LNG cargoes discharge in Indonesia
(Reuters) - Two cargoes of Russia's LNG have been discharged in Indonesia in a rare flow of the superchilled fuel to Southeast Asia, according to Refinitiv.
In the first such shipment, tanker Boris Davydov loaded a cargo from Yamal LNG in early July and discharged about half of it at the Arun terminal on July 29, data on Refinitiv Eikon showed.
The ship then offloaded the rest of its cargo at the Diefu terminal in Shenzhen.
A second tanker Grace Cosmos loaded LNG at Sakhalin 2 in Russia and discharged it at Arun terminal on Aug. 13, the data showed.
The terminal, majority owned by Pertamina, was converted to a receiving and regasification facility in 2015 after the Arun LNG in Aceh in northern Sumatra.
Pertamina could not be immediately reached for comment due to a public holiday in Indonesia.
