Beijing Gas starts filling in Tangshan storage
9/17/2021
Beijing Gas Group has started to fill natural gas into its gas storage facilities at the Tangshan LNG terminal, the government-backed Beijing Daily reported.
The facilities include two gas storage tanks with a capacity of 160,000 cubic metres each, and will be used as emergency gas supply to Beijing city, around 200 kms away.
The natural gas pumped into the storage tanks came from Beijing Gas’s first directly purchased LNG cargo, totalling 68,000 tonnes, or 152,000 cubic metres.
Beijing Gas plans to unload its second LNG cargo and store the gas in the emergency tanks in October.
