France's Montoir LNG terminal to shut for maintenance

France’s Montoir liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal will not receive any tankers from May 11 to May 19 as it undergoes planned maintenance work, operator Elengy said on its website.
The plant, by the Bay of Biscay, is one of four in France, receiving around a third of LNG coming into the country. Elengy is a unit of Engie.
The terminal received 33 cargoes in the first four months of the year, including from the United States, Russia and Nigeria.
Western Europe has experienced an influx of LNG supplies due to the start-up of new export facilities, especially in the U.S., Australia and Russia. France and Spain are Europe’s largest LNG importers.
