Commodity traders dominate Pakistan's March LNG tender
LONDON (Reuters) — Commodity traders Vitol, Trafigura and B.B. Energy submits the most competitive prices in a tender to supply Pakistan with four liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes in March, a Pakistan LNG document shows.
Bid levels submitted by trade houses are expressed as a percentage of a barrel of crude oil. Vitol submits lowest Brent oil-linked LNG price of 15.9147% for the March 8–9 delivery slot. Trafigura submits lowest bid of 15.0591 percent for March 17–18. Vitol submits lowest bid of 13.8301 percent for March 22–23. B.B. Energy submits lowest bid of 13.2701 percent for March 27–28.
Pakistan LNG has not awarded all shipments in recent monthly tenders, meaning there is no guarantee that the companies with the lowest bids will land cargo deals.
Pakistan LNG plans to award the cargoes on Jan. 11, tender documents show.
