Japan's Astomos, Kuwati's KPC sign MOU on LPG

(Reuters) — Japan’s Astomos Energy Corp—51% owned by refiner Idemitsu Kosan and the rest by Mitsubishi Corp—says it and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) have agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for further study in applying LPG as shipping bunker fuels to provide one of the solutions for the approaching SOx regulation for shipping fuels in 2020.
This MOU would enhance further cooperation for Astomos and KPC to share and research information for further collaboration in the fields of LPG fueled vessels and streamlining global supply sites for LPG bunkering among others.
