Indonesia's Bontang plant estimates 30-32 uncommitted 2017 LNG cargoes
JAKARTA (Reuters) -- Indonesia's Bontang (LNG) plant estimates there will be up to 32 uncommitted LNG cargoes from the plant this year, chief executive Salis Aprilian told reporters on Tuesday.
The number of uncommitted cargoes is one-fifth of the plant's estimated production of around 160 cargoes this year. The uncommitted LNG will be sold in spot market, Aprilian said.
Indonesia is oversupplied with the super-cooled fuel, and had 63 uncommitted cargoes of LNG for 2017 delivery from Indonesia's Tangguh and Bontang projects, Wiratmaja Puja, the country's Director General of Oil and Gas, said in October.
A standard LNG cargo contains around 160,000 cubic meters of natural gas or 74,000 t of LNG, but different vessels can carry varying amounts.
