GTT receives an order from DSME to equip two new LNG carriers
GTT has received an order from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) to equip two new LNG carriers. The vessels will be built at DSME's shipyard in Geoje, Korea, on behalf of Maran Gas Maritime, a Greek management company. They will be equipped with GTT's NO96 cryogenic membrane containment system. Delivery is scheduled for 2019.
With 143 vessels equipped in the world, and 59 on order, the NO96 range is sea proven and acknowledged by the major players of the maritime industry. Since the launch of this technology in 1996, GTT has constantly developed the NO96 solution, on the basis of significant feedback from operational experience at sea. These evolutions allow, among other things, to match the requirements of the latest propulsion systems.
