The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects strong growth in US natural gas production to pressure prices through the remainder of 2019. Henry Hub natural gas spot prices are anticipated to average $2.77/MMBtu in 2019 and 2020, down $0.38/MMBtu from 2018. US dry natural gas production is expected to average 90.6 Bft3d in 2019, up 7.2 Bft3d from last year. Domestic natural gas exports averaged 9.9 Bft3d in 2018, and the EIA forecasts that they will rise by 2.5 Bft3d in 2019 and by 2.9 Bft3d in 2020. The increase in exports reflects greater LNG exports as new facilities come online, as well as expected growth in pipeline exports to Mexico. GP
