Gazprom to launch fifth process line of Amur GPP in November
Gazprom will launch the fifth process line of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) in November this year, Gazprom Deputy CEO Vitaly Markelov said.
"The fifth process line of the Amur GPP is in the launch phase; we plan to put it into operation in November," Markelov said during the session "Oil and gas processing: A locomotive for regional development in a period of global instability."
Currently, four process lines have been put into operation. The project envisages the construction of six process lines at the plant, each with a capacity of 7 billion cubic meters of gas and the possibility for expansion.
An automatic LPG and PBF (propane-butane fraction) loading station (the first start-up complex) has been put into operation at the Amur GPP, according to Markelov's presentation.
He also said that next year Gazprom would begin supplying ethane and LPG to SIBUR's Amur Gas Chemical Plant, which will produce polymers.
"The plan is to deliver ethane and LPG produced at the Amur Gas Processing Plant to the Amur Gas Chemical Plant starting in 2026. For our part, everything is ready to deliver, the work is synchronized. We are waiting for the capacity that will ensure the consumption of our Amur GPP's products," Markelov said.
Plans include supplying 1.95 million tonnes of ethane and 1.05 million tonnes of LPG per year from the Amur GPP to the Amur GCP.
Markelov's presentation says that shipments should begin in the second half of 2026.
