Thailand's PTT signs 5-yr LNG deal with Oman LNG

Thailand's largest energy firm, state-controlled PTT, has signed a 5-yr deal to buy liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Oman.
The deal will be for 300,000 metric tpy of LNG, and will begin in 2025, PTT said in comments to Reuters on Monday.
PTT also said it was in talks with Oman LNG for a further 9-yr supply contract for 800,000 tpy beginning in 2026. The deal is still under negotiation, it added.
Thailand is Southeast Asia's largest importer of LNG and imported a record volume of 11.7 MMt last year, according to data from Kpler.
