Dragos and Emerson announce partnership to bring OT cybersecurity to the industrial plant floor
Dragos and Emerson - one of the world’s largest manufacturers of industrial automation and control systems with over 16,000 customers worldwide - will announce a significant partnership to strengthen ICS/OT cybersecurity and protect the critical infrastructure of industrial processes at the plant floor.
Process industries such as oil & gas, chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, metals & mining, and dozens of others are rich targets for cyberattacks. A security breach on a process control system can have disastrous implications, with the potential to not only impact production and revenue, but to also cause physical harm and disrupt critical services. Yet, thousands of process manufacturers are still at the beginning stages of securing their OT networks.
The upcoming Dragos and Emerson partnership will bring together Emerson’s DeltaV digital automation system and the Dragos Platform for industrial cybersecurity to unlock the ability of customers to easily bring OT cybersecurity to their organizations.
The partnership, among other things, includes a deep technology integration that will improve threat detection and response across the entire industrial OT environment and add Dragos Platform capabilities hyper-focused on DeltaV DCS-specific ICS networks.
