Exmar & Gasunie ink deal to secure energy supply
Exmar announced that it has reached an agreement with Gasunie for a 5 year lease of its 600 MMsft3d floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) S188.
Gasunie will use the FSRU S188 as a floating LNG import terminal in Groningen, the Netherlands, in view of the geopolitical developments currently underway in Europe and the increased pressure from governments on the security of energy supply. It is planned that the FSRU S188 will be deployed and that the terminal will be operational by the end of the 3Q of 2022.

It proves the capabilities of our floating infrastructure solutions as a fast and competitive solution to secure the energy supply of communities, industries and households. We are proud that Gasunie is entrusting this LNG import project to Exmar, building on our expertise in this field over the past decade," said Nicolas Saverys, Executive Chairman of Exmar.
