9/8/2021
Turkey's natural gas distributor BOTAS, Arkas Bunkering and Japan's Sumitomo Corporation 8053.T have signed an agreement to cooperate in the use of LNG as bunker fuel on vessels, they said in a statement.
The agreement aims to make the use of LNG as bunker fuel more prevalent, they said, adding that the adoption of LNG is important since it helps reduce carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and sulfur emissions.
