First plane lands at Arctic LNG 2 project airport

Arctic LNG 2 announced that the first plane landed at the Utrenniy airport built specifically for the Arctic LNG 2 project on the Gydan Peninsula in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region. The flight on the Tyumen to Utrenniy route was operated by Utair.

The Utrenniy Airport has a 1,550 meters long runway built for year-round transportation of rotational personnel to the Utrenneye field and is designed to receive and service small and medium-sized aircraft. Air planes should replace helicopters for flights from Sabetta to the Utrenniy airport which will significantly reduce the air transportation dependence on weather conditions, increase the flight safety level, as well as optimize the schedules for mobilizing personnel at the project
