ASME and AIPE to boost cooperation in engineering
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AIPE, the Italian Association of Pressure Equipment, and ASME, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
AIPE is the association representing the Italian manufacturers of Pressure Equipment and its related industries. Mainly based on research and collaboration with national and international Institutes and Universities, AIPE aims to promote the technological, scientific, and economic development of its member companies by sharing resources and information.
ASME is a non-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development across all engineering disciplines while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME’s mission is to promote the art, science & practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe.
With this agreement, the two organizations intend to establish a direct connection enabling knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, in particular, among the activities stated in the MOU. ASME and AIPE will endeavour to synergically promote technical training on ASME’s Codes and Standards along with the use of its new QPS -1 Quality Program Standard for General Industry. Moreover, AIPE’s members will also benefit from discounted ASME membership.
