Algeria has shut down its main liquefied natural gas (LNG) unit at the Skida plant for two months of maintenance work, but exports will be unaffected, state energy company Sonatrach said in a statement.

“The external market will be supported by the LNG and LPG separation complexes of Arzew,” it added in the statement.
