TOYO awarded LNG regasification plant project
Toyo Engineering India Pvt Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo-Japan), has been awarded a project for a new regasification plant with a send out capacity of 5 million tons from HPCL Shapoorji Energy Pvt. Ltd. (HSEPL), at Chhara in Gujarat State on the west coast of India. Toyo-India will execute EPC work on a turnkey basis, from engineering to construction and commissioning. The regasification plant is scheduled to be completed in the beginning of 2022.
HSEPL is a joint venture, between HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd), which is one of the major Government owned Refining & Oil Marketing Company and SP Ports Pvt. Ltd. (a Shapoorji Pallonji Group Company).
HSEPL is developing LNG receiving, storage & regasification terminal of 5 MMTPA capacity expandabe to 10 MMTPA. Earlier, Toyo-India & Toyo-Japan have executed Petronet LNG Ltd’s Dahej Terminal Phase I (greenfield), Petronet LNG Ltd’s Phase II & III expansion and GSPC LNG Ltd’s greenfield Mundra terminal. In a rapidly developing country like India with ever growing demand for LNG, Toyo-India will develop sales for further orders as a top runner in the construction of LNG regasification facilities.
