South Korea's Komipo seeks interest for April LNG cargo
2/26/2019
SINGAPORE, (Reuters) - South Korea’s Korea Midland Power Co Ltd (Komipo) has issued an expression of interest (EOI) to buy a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for delivery in the second half of April, two industry sources said.
An EOI indicates a serious interest from a buyer and short-listed sellers are then typically invited to offer a price for cargoes they are able to sell for during that period.
Spot prices for LNG in Asia LNG-AS are currently at a more than 17-month low after a warmer-than-expected winter, though spot demand is expected to pick up ahead of summer.
