GTT receives tank design order for a new LNG carrier

Paris - GTT has received an order from the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of a new 174,000 m3 LNG carrier (LNGC), on behalf of the Danish ship-owner Navigare.
The tanks of this unit will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system. The vessel is scheduled for the first half of 2021.
"We are pleased to be entrusted by our partner of excellence SHI to accompany the ship-owner Navigate in its entry into the LNG world on its first LNGC project," Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT said.
