Rockwell Automation selected for three Encana gas processing plants
HOUSTON — Rockwell Automation is working with Encana, a leading North American energy producer, as the main automation contractor (MAC) while the energy company builds three new gas-processing plants in the Montney region of Canada.
Two of the three Encana facilities, Tower and Sunrise, were successfully deployed under budget and ahead of schedule this fall. The third facility, Saturn, is on track to start up before the end of the year.
Rockwell Automation has been contracted to engineer, supply, procure and manage the control systems, safety instrumented systems and interfaces to the third-party OEM skids in each Encana facility. Rockwell Automation engineers are managing each step of the design, programming, commissioning and startup of the three plants. Rockwell Automation is delivering a plant-wide control solution including process automation and intelligent power control.
