Russia's Novatek says entire Yamal LNG project is 89% complete

MOSCOW (Reuters) — Independent Russian gas producer Novatek said on Thursday its entire Yamal LNG project was 89% complete, including the first train which is 97% complete.

Total Yamal LNG capacity is seen at 17.5 MMt of LNG per year, taking into account the fourth train, the company had said earlier.
Novatek head Leonid Mikhelson said last week that the first train of Yamal LNG would be launched by the year-end, while other trains would be commissioned ahead of schedule.
The second train is expected to be launched in the Q3 2018, while the third train will start working in 2019.
