Enterprise shuts Shoup gas processing plant due to Harvey
8/29/2017
HOUSTON, Reuters—Midstream oil and gas firm Enterprise Products Partners' Shoup natural gas processing and fractionation plant in Corpus Christi, Texas is closed due to Tropical Storm Harvey, the company reported.
The facility, located 10 mi west of Corpus Christi, was recently expanded to handle increasing natural gas production from the Eagle Ford shale play.
Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast Friday evening as a Category 4 hurricane, but it was later downgraded to a tropical storm.
The slow-moving storm continues to bring rain to the Texas coast and to the inland major metropolis of Houston, causing widespread flooding and damage to infrastructure and property.
