Australia Pacific LNG boosts Origin Energy's output

(Reuters) Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), co-owned by Origin Energy and operated by ConocoPhillips, exported its first LNG cargo earlier this year. To date, the 4.5-MMtpy Train 1 LNG facility has shipped 32 cargoes, including its first to Japan's Kansai Electric Power Co.
"The Train 1 LNG facility continues to perform to expectations, with daily production rates having achieved and exceeded design nameplate capacity," Origin Energy said.
The company reaffirmed that the plant's second unit, Train 2, is expected to ship its first cargo by the end of the year.
Origin Energy supplies gas to the APLNG plant from coal seam gas wells in Queensland. The startup of the APLNG plant was the largest factor in Origin Energy’s 57% increase in annual production.
