Applied LNG begins construction on Midlothian LNG project in Texas
Applied LNG announced today that construction has started on the first liquefaction train of its Midlothian LNG Plant.
Applied LNG recently closed a $22.5 million senior secured loan to complete the funding of this project.
"We are excited to begin construction of the first of six liquefiers we will build in Midlothian," said Cem Hacioglu, Applied LNG's president and CEO.
"This facility will provide the State of Texas and the surrounding areas with much needed supply of environmentally-friendly and economically-beneficial LNG from a reliable source," he added.
The first liquefaction train at the Midlothian Plant is expected to be completed in mid-2015.
This will be the company's third liquefier along with the two currently in operation in Topock, Arizona, and will increase Applied LNG's production capacity to 258,000 LNG gal/day.
