Cosmodyne to supply LNG liquefier to WesPac for fueling marine vessels
WesPac Midstream has selected Cosmodyne to supply a LINEX natural gas liquefier for a new natural gas liquefaction facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
The LINEX system features Cosmodyne’s nitrogen refrigeration technology to produce high-quality LNG fuel, allowing plant operators to increase and decrease production in response to fluctuating market demand while maintaining high efficiency.
This load-following ability to turn down production without an efficiency penalty is ideal for LNG plants deployed in markets where demand volume is developing or variable, the company said.
“We evaluated the available LNG liquefaction technologies and the Cosmodyne LINEX system demonstrated the benefits of its simplicity and operational flexibility,” said Peter Gallenberger, senior vice president, engineering and operations of WesPac.
The equipment will be designed and fabricated in Cosmodyne’s California facilities.
