Neste Jacobs to engineer Norilsk Nickel LNG station in Finland

Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs will perform project management, engineering, procurement and construction management services to construct the Norilsk Nickel LNG station in Harjavalta, Finland.

Neste Jacobs will carry out the project during the years 2014 and 2015.

The upcoming LNG station can store up to 300 m(3) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Natural gas will be used as a feedstock for hydrogen production and as a support fuel for pellet boiler plant.

"Neste Jacobs has strong references in serving gas industry and during the partner selection we became convinced of their expertise to implement this project", said Kimmo Tuomi, senior plant services manager of Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta.

"Neste Jacobs is providing us with solutions we need and we are sure that our cooperation in this project will be successful for both parties."

Neste Jacobs says it will carry out the project from its office in Turku, Finland.
