Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure database is tracking more than 250 active gas processing/LNG projects around the world. As shown in the world map, the Asia-Pacific region is the leader in active gas processing/LNG projects, doubling its nearest competing regions of Eastern Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the U.S. The region has also been the leader in new project announcements over the past year. The region is investing heavily in new natural gas infrastructure to satisfy increasing demand for power generation and to reduce carbon emissions in an effort to reach net-zero targets. GP
