The Energy Web Atlas is tracking nearly 400 active gas processing/LNG projects around the world. Approximately 55% of active gas processing/LNG projects are in the Asia-Pacific and US regions. According to Hydrocarbon Processing’s Construction Boxscore Database, new gas processing/LNG project announcements have averaged 11 per month over the past year. Asia is continuing to invest heavily in the construction of additional natural gas infrastructure, including LNG import/export facilities, gas processing plants and pipelines. This infrastructure will provide the region with additional production and/or import capacity to meet growing demand, especially for power generation. GP
