In the US, natural gas prices dropped throughout the summer amid high gas production and sedated oil prices. In May, US gas output was nearing a record high of 80 Bcfd. NGL prices also trended downward near the end of the summer, although a sharp rebound was seen moving into September. Production volumes for NGL remained steady to high throughout the period, with total NGL field production from gas plants breaking 100 Mbpd for the first time on record in May. GP
