In the US, Henry Hub natural gas spot prices hit a brief spike above $3/MMBtu in May, but then swung back down into the range of $2.50/MMBtu–$3/MMBtu, where they had bounced through most of March and April. Despite lower gas prices, gas production in the US is nearly 7% higher in 2015 than it was for the same period in 2014. Meanwhile, March saw a huge leap in the production of NGL, LPG, ethane and propane, as US gas supplies remained abundant. Levels remained high into April as producers continued to capitalize on low-priced ethane. GP
