In the US, Henry Hub and NGL prices decreased through most of 2014, although production of natural gas and NGL continued to rise. Gas and NGL prices fell dramatically in the last quarter of the year as crude oil prices slid by nearly 50% from earlier in the year. The continued production growth, combined with declining oil prices, has pushed down forecasts for the average Henry Hub natural gas price this year by $1/MMBtu or more, to below $3/MMBtu. Meanwhile, the US EIA believes that the country could witness its tenth consecutive year of growth in gas output in 2015. GP
