Eastern Mediterranean Gas Conference (EMGC) 2015 is the premier event for professionals working in, or seeking to be involved in, the significant offshore gas reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean.

A series of recent discoveries by Noble Energy, the largest operator in the region, has increased the estimated gross resources of natural gas awaiting development in the area to 40 Tcf. The third annual EMGC, scheduled to take place March 17–18, 2015, at the Hilton Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus, will be devoted to the discussion of the commercial and technical aspects of producing, processing and distributing these gas reserves.

Eastern Med is on the rise. The large reserves discovered in the region have the potential to enhance regional economies and transform several nations into major gas exporters in the near future. LNG production and transport is a viable option for these reserves, and Cyprus is considering a number of options for exporting some of this gas, as will be discussed on the second day of EMGC 2015.

Conference program. EMGC is geared toward a global audience and has international appeal. More than 220 executives representing more than 140 companies across 26 countries attended the first EMGC, which took place in Nicosia, Cyprus in April 2013. At the second EMGC, which took place in Tel Aviv, Israel in March 2014, more than 200 executives representing more than 128 companies across 16 countries were present.

The 2013 and 2014 conferences featured speakers from top companies operating in the region, including Noble Energy Inc., Hyperion Systems Engineering Group, Cyprus National Hydrocarbons Co., Total E&P Research and Technology USA LLC, Avner Oil Exploration, Delek Drilling, Wood Group Mustang, WorleyParsons, DNV GL, Primus Green Energy, Dor Chemicals Ltd., ABS and others. Gulf Publishing Company is pleased to welcome Charles Davidson, chairman and CEO of Noble Energy, to again present the keynote address at this year’s conference (Fig. 1).
